Living in Snohomish, Washington
Founded in 1860 on the banks of the Snohomish River, the city of Snohomish is one of the oldest towns in the county, and it wears its history proudly. Its downtown is a National Register historic district known across the region for antique shops, and the riverfront and Centennial Trail are right at your doorstep. It's a great fit for buyers who love character, community traditions and small-town charm close to Everett and the Seattle area.
Historic First Street
First Street is the heart of downtown, lined with restored brick and Victorian-era buildings full of antique shops, boutiques, cafes and restaurants. Snohomish has long called itself the antique capital of the Northwest.
Riverfront
The Snohomish River runs right alongside downtown. Kla Ha Ya Park on First Street offers riverfront picnic spots and views, and a riverfront trail follows the water.
Kla Ha Ya Days
Every July the town celebrates Kla Ha Ya Days, a long-running hometown festival with a parade on First Street, a carnival, a street fair and a car show. A seasonal farmers market and holiday events keep downtown busy year-round.
Trails & Getting Around
Snohomish is the southern starting point of the paved Centennial Trail, which runs about 30 miles north to the Skagit County line. SR 9 and US 2 connect the city to Everett, Lake Stevens and I-5.
