Living in Lake Stevens, Washington
Lake Stevens is built around its namesake, the largest lake in Snohomish County. Summer here means boating, swimming and paddleboarding, and the waterfront downtown is the gathering spot for the whole community. With the Cascade foothills to the east and Everett just to the west, it's a favorite for buyers who want an active, outdoorsy lifestyle with a hometown feel.
The Lake
Lake Stevens is the county's largest lake, with public access points around the shoreline for swimming, fishing and boating, and water-ski and wakeboard events in the summer.
North Cove Park
A four-acre waterfront park next to City Hall in downtown, with a boardwalk, fishing pier, public dock, swimming area and playground. It also hosts a Tuesday farmers market in the summer.
Aquafest
Every July the volunteer-run Aquafest takes over downtown with parades, a boat parade, runs, live music, a carnival and fireworks over the lake. The free festival celebrated its 57th year in 2026.
Close to the Mountains
Lundeen Park offers more green space on the lake, and the Cascade foothills are right next door: Mount Pilchuck is a short drive northeast, and US 2 leads to Stevens Pass for skiing. Everett and I-5 are a short drive west.
